Turtle Lake Physical Therapy & Rehab Specialists will Offer Massage Therapy Services: Coming to the Community this Summer

Turtle Lake, Wis. (May 13, 2013) – Turtle Lake Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists (PTRS) is proud to expand their specialty services to include Massage Therapy beginning July 1, 2013. A current team member, Alicia Bruder, has obtained further education for professional development with Massage, planning to integrate this service into the practice. Alicia began her career with the opening of Clear Lake PTRS in 2009 as the Front Desk Coordinator. Managing patient registration responsibilities and maintaining clinic operations, Alicia also had the opportunity to work with patients alongside Physical Therapists as an Aide. Alicia’s appreciation for the healthcare field grew when she witnessed patients’ struggles turn into achievements. This experience has fueled her passion to pursue a career where she has the ability to contribute toward a person’s overall wellness.

Alicia will graduate with honors from WITC-Rice Lake as a Licensed Massage Therapist in May and will be available to the community July 1st. Services will be offered on Mondays and Thursdays at our Turtle Lake office at 100 Becker Street. Alicia is ecstatic to offer massage therapy to the community and educate them on its benefits. Relaxation and clinical massage will be available for all clients, having plans to expand services in the future. Alicia’s intention for each individual massage is for her client’s wellness goals to be met and surpassed. She is focused on a client centered mindset, injury prevention maintenance, and continuing education.

Massage Therapy aids in relieving pain, assisting in injury recovery and reducing stress. According to a survey conducted in 2011 by the American Massage Therapy Association, 40% of individuals reported receiving a massage within 5 years of the survey to aid in health conditions, which included pain management and injury recovery. “I am proud that one of our own has grown professionally in this area and am confident that Alicia will provide an exceptional experience for her clients’ through her clinical skills and personalized care. I am very excited to offer this service to the community,” states Clinic Owner, Emily Monson, PT.
