Clear Lake Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists, a practice that strives to provide quality patient care in our close-knit community, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team and ensure the efficient revenue cycle management of our practice. This vital position in our fast-paced and family environment will be a part of our solid team of employees who are valued and appreciated for their strong work ethic. We are looking for you to fill this position if you have the following qualities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand and be a part of the Revenue Cycle for our Physical Therapy Services.
  • Submission of claims to insurance companies.
  • Insurance verification and authorization
  • Insurance collections and appeals.
  • Patient Accounts Receivable
  • Maintain accurate records of billing activities and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with the administrative and clinical teams to ensure compliance, accurate billing and maximization of revenue.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in medical billing and collections, preferably in a physical therapy or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, billing codes, and healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency with billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, insurance companies, and team members.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
